October 29, 2026, City News

 October 29, 2026

In preparation for the potentially wet winter, the City of Sebastopol will have two local tree companies working in multiple locations to prune and remove trees that potentially pose a threat to our community due to rot and disease as identified by the city arborist over the next couple of weeks.

Trees that are slated for pruning are the pear and liquid ambers at the east end of Libby Park near Brookhaven School, the sport courts, and Gnomies Preschool, as well as an oak on the west side along Pleasant Hill Ave. N. Trees slated for removal are two oaks within the center median on Hayden Avenue, oaks along Jewell Avenue (behind 500 & 580 Swain Ave), and a cottonwood in the Laguna Youth Park behind the Community Center.
