Moratorium on Water Shutoffs Has Expired

The City of Sebastopol Water Division has been operating under Governor Newsom’s Executive Order N- 42-20 since March 4, 2020. The Executive Order placed a moratorium on water shutoffs due to non-payment until September 30, 2021. The order was then extended until December 31, 2021. The City is now resuming its pre-pandemic Collection (Delinquent) Policy No. 93 beginning with the January 2023 billing cycle. 

Customers with a past-due balance will need to pay their bill or set up a payment plan to avoid having their water service discontinued. We understand that some of our water customers are still undergoing financial hardships. We are committed to working with these customers to create a manageable payment plan.
