What are the next steps in the merger between the Sebastopol Fire Department and the Gold Ridge Fire Protection District?
February 10, 2025
- March 5, 2025: There will be a public meeting to discuss the plan at LAFCO
- Voters will have the opportunity to protest the merger with LAFCO.
- May 7, 2025: LAFCO will consider any protests. If 25% or more of voters or landowners protest, the merger will go to the voters for an election in November. If the number of protests is less than 25%, the merger will take affect around July 1, 2025.
