The Sonoma County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) approved the reorganization on March 5, 2025. LAFCO granted final approval on May 7, 2025, after less than 25% of voters and homeowners submitted protests (the minimum needed to deny granting reorganization). Less than 200 protests were received, comprising 2.4% of voters and 4% of homeowners. Reorganization will take place no later than July 1, 2025.
