City Seeks CPA to Join the Enterprise Fund Oversight Committee
October 7, 2026, City News
The City has added a new seat to the Enterprise Fund Oversight Committee specifically for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with relevant financial or accounting experience.
The Enterprise Fund Oversight Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council, providing review and recommendations related to the City’s Enterprise Funds. The Committee’s responsibilities include reviewing annual budgets and financial reports, analyzing utility rate studies and proposed rate adjustments, evaluating long-term financial planning and capital improvement needs, and considering the financial sustainability of Enterprise Fund operations.
The Committee also engages with the public and other stakeholders to ensure community interests and concerns are reflected in its recommendations. In addition, the Committee submits an annual report to the City Council prior to adoption of the following fiscal year’s budget and may take on other duties as assigned by the City Council.
The City is seeking a CPA who can bring professional accounting and financial expertise to the Committee and help provide informed, objective guidance on these important issues. If you fit this criteria and are interested in joining the Enterprise Fund Oversight Committee, additional information on the Committee and the application can be found here: https://www.cityofsebastopol.gov/boards-commissions-committees/oversight-committee/
